What is refractive eye surgery?  

LASIK surgery is a minimally invasive outpatient surgery. The surgery is performed using a computer-controlled laser to reshape the cornea. LASIK eye surgery is most often used to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

• We will evaluate your current prescription as well as other factors such as the presence of eye disease and the thickness and shape of your cornea.   
• We will discuss refractive surgery options with you, the possible risks and benefits, and the surgery cost, which can vary depending on the type of LASIK technology used. You will have an opportunity to ask questions or bring up potential concerns. Our team will help you determine which procedure may be the best choice for your individual needs.   
• If you are found to be a good candidate for laser eye correction, we will refer you to a qualified and experienced ophthalmologist for the surgery.   

Post-operative care  

Your eyes will need time to heal following LASIK surgery. Our post-operative care helps to monitor your recovery and address any issues that may arise in the days after surgery. We will observe any side effects and offer instructions on what to do and what to avoid doing to ensure a thorough recovery.
